Regular Expression in vfs.dir.count on windows agent seems not to work

I have an item with key:
    vfs.dir.count["E:\FSLogix",RW.VHDX,,,,20,,,86400,,@ExcludeRDSHXU sers]

    Referring to a regular expression:
    ^(xyz_.*|blabla.*) - Result is TRUE

Now the item is reporting 2 files but those 2 files should be excluded as they are in dirs named "blabla_flhjl34l34h5l" and "xyz_dlfsahlahglago0ru087"

I have tried putting the regular expression directly in the item, putting @ExcludeRDSHXUsers in there, and tried setting result both true and false in the regular expression..... item always reports 2 files.

What am I doing wrong here?

Tried searching for other posts, haven't found any that matches this one.

    Zabbix server version is 5.4.9
Zabbix agent version is Zabbix Agent 2 5.4.9.2400

Global regexes do not work there.

Theres "no" under "global regex".. for vfs.dir.count

Got it working by adjusting the regular expression and inserting it directly in the item key from:
      vfs.dir.count["E:\FSLogix",RW.VHDX,,,,20,,,86400,,^blabla_.*|^xy z_.*]

      to:
      vfs.dir.count["E:\FSLogix",RW.VHDX,,,,20,,,86400,,^(blabla_.*|xy z_.*)]

But referencing the expression with @ does not seem to work.
