    openwrt zabbix-agentd v6.4.7-1 and zabbix server 7.2.2

    Hello everybody,

after reading and watching some HowTo's about Zabbix server, I was able to setup Zabbix server 7.2.2 (on a proxmox vm).
Furthermore Zabbix found already some hosts and I have configured them.

Only with openwrt (version 23.05.5) hosts, where I have installed the zabbix-agentd and zabbix-extra* (mac, network, wifi) all in version 6.4.7-1, I do have an issue.
The server recognized the agent BUT only with 4 data?! In a video I have seen they have >100 data, well they used a different server and also most likely a different agentd version.

How do I have to config Zabbix to get more data from the openwrt zabbix agentd?

So far I have not found a solution in the internet. If I have overseen something, please point me in the right direction.

    BR

    try "Linux by Zabbix agent".
Zabbix does not choose ANY template when adding a host, you must choose it.

How many items does the template have that you've applied to the host in Zabbix?
If it's more than 4, check why the rest of the items are going into unsupported.

Which template are you using to monitor OpenWrt?

ok, here are the details about the template used:

The video I watched did not tell me which template. That is why I used the default chosen by the Zabbix server.

        Name: Zabbix agent
Number of Items in the template: Hosts 1 Items 4 Triggers 1 Graphs Dashboards 1 Discovery Web Zabbix 7.2-0
(Data collection - templates - filter on "Zabbix agent")

Understood - what the template used is correct with 4 items.

Searching in Zabbix for an OpenWrt template is without success. I assume I have to create one:-(

Any help is appreciated - of course I will also check the internet - because my main reason for using Zabbix is the monitoring of all my OpenWrt routers...

          Update on openwrt template

          checked: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/...itoring/zabbix
found: https://pastebin.com/nQdZM89w (all credits for creating this template go to him!)

Copied the suggested all-in-one template (raw view) in a file and imported this file in Zabbix. Sadly I got an error message:

Name:	grafik.png
Views:	1350
Size:	29.0 KB
ID:	497612

Enclosed you will find the template. What can I do? Is there an easy solution to this?

Seems very old version, it will not import ... at least not into 6.0+ Going importing/exporting through some older version might help, but who has those...
            <zabbix_export>
            <version>2.0</version>

Or recreate everything by hand.. copy-paste items and names from xml ..

I think I imported the wifi template into my home Zabbix system last year, when it was running 7.0 [or maybe it was 6]. Anyway, here it is, exported from 7.0.
File name can't end in yaml because of this stupid-ass forum software
As I recall, the other OpenWRT templates weren't particularly useful for OpenWRT hosts, so I just use the normal Linux by Zabbix Agent template for collecting the usual metrics one would want.
