I cannot find the create.sql.gz file to initialise the database. It should be in this folder:

/usr/share/doc/zabbix-server-mysql/

I`am tying to install zabbix on RHEL 6 with Oracle database engine.

I use rpm`s, but there is no pakage to work with oracle (eg. zabbix-server-oracle....rpm)

Is here someone who install zabbix this way.

I installed postbix as the documentation says, and configured to connect to remote postgres.
I can see the connection happening from zabbix to postgres, but I don't see any data for the postgres db, and all graphs are blank.

I have written a script to obtain the max no of open files for a particular process and I can successfully collect the value by directly issuing the command in OS as well as testing the option with zabbix_agentd -t while it didn't work with zabbix_get as well as the web interface reported ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED....

I'm running RHEL/CENTOS Xen. Just poking around the forums I don't see a lot of talk about monitoring Xen from the dom0 perspective to get stats on the total resources used and individual domU usage (network, CPU, I/O, etc) into Zabbix.

Am I missing something obvious here?

I just built some Zabbix 1.8.1 RPMs built for CentOS (32 and 64bit) and RHEL in my repository if anyone would like to use 'em. I welcome feedback, and make patches regularly based on feedback/input.

Updated Jan 8, 2010: Fixed all problems everyone has complained about here, and in my blog. In summary: Added zabbix-proxy support, fixed 64-bit missing repodata, fixed file permissions, fixed problem with upgrading the package (thanks Tim!) added curl support (web scenarios work now, yay!).
