    what i have to do now? maybe i not understand the flow how it work. You understand what i want to monitor right? i want to monitor my zabbix server itself. i use mysql as databse and i want to monitor this database that i give name zabbix. so, i think the ZabbixServerList=ZabbixServer1
    ZabbixServer1.Address=127.0.0.1
    ZabbixServer1.Port=10051
    #DatabaseList=ZABBIX
    DatabaseList=zabbix-->i name it zabbix when create mysql databse before
    #define here your connection string for each database
    #jdbc:mysql://[hostort],[hostort].../[database]
    jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/zabbix
    #ZABBIX.Url=jdbc:mysql://monitor.ente.regione.emr.it:3306/zabbix
    ZABBIX.Url=jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3306/zabbix

    SO, WHAT IS WRONG HERE?? THE REST I USE THE RIGHT USER AND PASSWORD FOR ZABBIX DATABASE.

        I've released today DBforBIX.
        DBforBIX arises from the need to integrate all born of Orabbix’s fork.
        DBforBIX can enquiry and monitor vital parameter of:
        • Oracle
        • MySQL
        • PostgreSQL
        • MS SQL Server
        • DB2

        Till now DB2 and MS SQL Server are not tested and they can be unstable

        DBforBIX still remain superscalar and multi thread.
        NOTE: now Items are collisionless because they have a prefix how adviced from Aaron Kulik (thank you Aaron)

        THIS IS A PREVIEW IT’S ONLY 0.1 RELEASE AND IS NOT FULLY TESTED PRODUCTION RELEASE
        You can download DBforBIX from my website, sources are available on sourceforge as usual
        NOTE: there are not included ojdbc6.jar needed for oracle and db2jcc.jar db2jcc_license_cu.jar needed by DB2

          Hi,
          I'm having some problems getting to grips with using dbforbix 0.3 with zabbix 1.8.5. When I start it I get the following output:

          Starting DBforBIX service:
          root on zbxhost[conf] Stopping
          java.lang.NullPointerException

          at com.smartmarmot.dbforbix.DBforBIX.run(DBforBIX.jav a:133)
          at com.smartmarmot.dbforbix.bootstrap.main(bootstrap. java:56)

          The log file shows the following:

          So the logfile looks ok but the java app is failing. I'd appreciate some guidance on what may be happening here.

            Maybe that dbforbix don't find query file on his specified location or the query file has ".sample" extension
            let me know

              Hi,
              Yes, it was that. To be exact, the reference to the query file had a typo. Thanks for your help.

              BTW, are there any MS SQL templates for dbforbix? I anticipate needing to monitor mysql, oracle and MS SQL 2005/8.

              Regards,
              David

                      Thank you Dalle,

                      as you can see I have delete the post view minutes later because after I submit the reply I look on the screen and read and read and then I saw this issue.
                      I removed the ">" sign and then it works.
                      As I said, it was a little problem

                      Thank you for reply

                      best regards
                      Frank

                        Hello,

                        MySQLBix runs quite good. But in the dashboard I get often the following message:
                        Code:
                        MySQL : High Usage of Innodb Pages on server.x.local
                        I think the trigger relates to "MySQL Innodb Buffer Pool Pages Data" (avg value is 31.81K) and "MySQL Innodb Buffer Pool Pages Total" (value is 32.77K).

                        When I look at the values I can't find the correct variable in MySQL to tune. Has somebody an idea?

                        CentOS 5.6
                        zabbix 1.8.5
                        mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.77, for redhat-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 5.1

                        variables configuration in my.cnf:
                        Code:

                            Hi
                            please use dbforbix instead mysqlbix.
                            or... well are all more or less the same so you can refer to dbforbix documentation od Orabbix as well
                            I am sorry but actually I don't have time to produce a complete documentation and please rember that all that is done for free
