    Template linkage with macro

    You can use
    Template_Linux_Disk_SDA
    {$DEVICE}=sda
    Template_Linux_Disk_SDB
    {$DEVICE1}=sdb

Thank you dima_dm, but this mean I will have to create 1 item per disk for each items :
    disk_stats[{$DEVICE},await] (sda)
    disk_stats[{$DEVICE1},await] (sdb)
    disk_stats[{$DEVICE2},await] (sdc)
    So macros would become useless.
And I would like to have just one item that I could use for different disks.

You can’t use 1 item for all disks in same time on one host. You must create 1 item for each disk on host.

That's why I tried with the concept of macros, hoping that they will be interpreted in items keys.

But as it's not working, I'm looking for another trick.

            Thank you for the link.
It really seems to be an interesting new feature.

I would prefer having only one item as it is easier to modify (you don't have to update all the items for each disks), but it seems that it's not possible...
