Hello, thank you for your post.
I'm using Zabbix 4.0.7, and I'm trying to use this template.
I imported it into my Zabbix server, applied template to my host, and on the host I copied the vbs files and add the parameters into the zabbix_agentd.conf file. In this file I added also the "ServerActive=IpOfMyZabbixServer" and "Timeout=30" paramenters, but I'm having a trouble when I checking the server. The message error appear: "Cannot send request: wrong discovery rule type." I think the problem is the active agent: how can resolve it?
I'm a new user of Zabbix, sorry me if it is a stupid question

    Thank you,
    Alessandro

      Hi AlessandroInfo

The error message you are getting is most likely due to a discrepancy in either your (Zabbix Agent ACTIVE) template or (Windows OS ACTIVE) template which you have assigned to your ACTIVE host. I have attached an XML file, which contains both the following templates below, please import, assign the (Template OS Windows ACTIVE) to your host and let me know if the error message goes away.

      Template App Zabbix Agent ACTIVE
      Template OS Windows ACTIVE

You only need to assign your ACTIVE host the (Template OS Windows ACTIVE) as the (Template App Zabbix Agent ACTIVE) would be automatically added and linked.

      Thanks, DC

        Hi DC,
        thank you for your reply.
I tried but not solved. I imported your template "Template OS Windows ACTIVE", assign only it this to my host (I removed the previous templates) and if I check now one of the discovery rules. I'm notice now that the Zabbix agent now seems offline.... maybe some configuration of active agent is not correct? How can I check this? Before changing the tempate the ZBX icon was green.
        Thank you very much,
        Alessandro

          Hi AlessandroInfo

In Active mode monitoring the [ZBX] icon will never be lit, It will only be lit if you are using Passive mode. Is the host on your network locally or outside of your network on another network behind a firewall?

            Hi Dc,
thank you, there is a lot I have to learn
Host is locally, with Windows firewall disactivated for this testing (before I allowed Zabbix agent on Windows firewall).
What you suggest me to try to do to solve this problem?
            Thank you

Thank you so much for your work.
Tell me this is normal when my trigger is triggered and if I click on the “Problem” with a mouse, then a pop-up window opens with a description and is there text with HTML tags?

But if DeltaCentral resolve it, he's welcome!

                  Great work. Thanks.
Is it possible to adapt this to Linux-Server ?

Would it be a problem to convert this template to a non-Active one?
