    Template OS Linux SNMPv3 Zabbix

    Hello Community,

    sorry for this toppic, but I was surprised that there is not official template for Linux OS using SNMP v 3. Is there anyone which found or create working one. And is it possible to share?

    What stops you to use snmp v2 template and switch it over to v3? Its not like snmp query has changed between versions... just added layer of security.

      I did not find any documented article about it. So you mean create host with SNMP interface, fill username/SHA/AES and assign SNMPv2 template to it?

        Not everything in the world is documented. Some things should be worked out by people themselves..

        But yes, basically that should work. You need to change item types in template from v2 to v3 also.

              Hi sbelkin,
              What version of Zabbix are you using? If you want to monitor Linux using SNMP, you can use the template Linux SNMP. Whether to use SNMPv2 or SNMPv3 can be switched by setting the SNMP interface of the host.
