    Thanks! VERY good idea to use SNMP template for monitoring.
    We investigate some time to pull datas from our msa using SNMP too, but have not good resalts. We find only traps.mib(( ( branch "enterprise" is almost empty). What else "useful" SNMP OID`s do you know?

      That are the only "usefull" oids that i know for MSA at the Moment. The oids are described in the FCMGMT-MIB Mib.

              this can be fixed by rasising the max execution time on the Agent!

              Please check your configs:

              i recommend 25 seks.

                      Well the script worked quite well but the msa cannot handle the load on the API.

                      for speedy on ubuntu 14.04:

                      apt-get install libperl-dev
                      cpan install CGI::SpeedyCGI

                      This compile run will fail you can fix it following this guy : http://www.fseitz.de/blog/index.php?...mpilieren.html

                      after that you will have to get into the build folder that contains your change to the source (eg: cd /root/.cpan/build/CGI-SpeedyCGI-2.22-dbFkZ9/) and run:

                      perl Makefile.PL
                      make
                      make install


                      after that it will be installed under: /usr/local/bin/speedy

                      I will wait with patience for your snmp solution

                        I am sorry but there is no way (at the Moment) to Monitor the MSA 2040 with SNMP.
                        I got a System with a broken HDD but i am not able to find any OID/MIB that tells me that any Hardware is broken. I am sorry because i wanted to use SNMP instead of external checks, too.

                            at the Moment we are not able to query the MSA with SNMP for single drives and their Status.
                            MIB: CPQHOST-MIB contains
                            OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.232.11.2.5.1
                            NAME: cpqHoIfPhysMapTable
                            Description: A table of interface to physical hardware mappings.

                            But this OID is deprecated and "no-accessible".

                            i cant find any other "Hardware Status" related oid.
                            I already had a MSA 2040 with a failed harddrive. even a complete SNMPWALK over the MSA did not provide any useful Information about the failed drive.

                            So atm we are "stuck" at HP, to provide some OIDs
