Im using Zabbix 6.0 with the template above, I've tried it with the HPE Template and it did not work, that's why I tried to find this template, the problem with Template Net HP Enterprise Switch SNMPv2 is that the OID's are not correct for your machine, which means that you will not be able to monitor most of the features that you probably want (Psu, Fans, etc.). Im not the one that configured the switch, but, the only parameter besides the ip address that I've put, is the {$SNMP_COMMUNITY} macro, which the default value is "public", but it can have another value set by the one that configured the switch.

Hi Anon_Zabbix_User thank you for your fast reply, I understand but i haven't found an 4.4 template version. Do you think that with HP template is possibile that i cannot receive any data?

No worries, I've found many posts where people just don't write, I don't want to be like that , To my knowledge, your template should return some data, it shouldn't return literally nothing, is it giving off any error?

I use HPE 6000 and the SNMP configuration:

          snmp-server vrf default
          snmp-server community "ComunityName"
snmp-server host "Zabbix Server IP" trap version v2c community "ComunityName"

Hi Anon_Zabbix_User and Bega for yuor fast support. I fix it with snmp-server vrf default that i don't saw from GUI console. Now I'm will try to fix the wrong parameter on cpu tempereature but is already a great thing that it receive the other datas. If someone can made a 4.4 template version is a very good thing but otherwise I will try in an other way.
            Ciao

Thanks a lot for this template! I tested it on our Aruba CX 8360 v2 switches and works like a charm!

Will this template work on 5 if change to <version>5.0</version>?

                  Dear jjeff123 and michael.weber,

I want to say thanks for that really nice template. It works like a charm on Zabbix 6.0LTS (did not test with newer version yet).

In 6.0 I only miss that I needed to set the mapping that device describtion need to go to "Hardware", Firmware to "Software", serial number to "Serial number A". It helps a lot if you have more than 100(s) devices too keep overview on them.
Even a model link would be nice that you can easily trace down EOSL hardware in Inventory to get easily all devices which needs to be exchanged.

Thanks again for your very useful template.

                  Br,

                  Mark.

Sorry I forgot to add that I can confirm this is working with Aruba 6000 (3 models tested) Aruba 6100(3 models tested), Aruba 6200 (only 2 fixed models tested, others will follow in some weeks), Aruba 6300 (2 models tested), 8325 (25Y8C model tested) and 8360v1 &8360v2 (3 models tested).

As all have basically same OS with Aruba CX I expect also other devices work fine.

                    Br,

                    Mark.

                  jjeff123 michael.weber ,

Apologies for reviving an old thread but I'm having an issue with the CS template and was wondering if you could shed some light. I am receiving data on everything except the bit rate of the interfaces, this error is being shown on the interfaces: "SNMP error: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB".
                  Any help would be appreciated.

                  Thanks!

                  Joe

Do you have interface status triggers? Its the most important thing to me, dont care about cpu and so on, I need to know when something goes down and those templates dont have that, am I missing something?

                        Hi.

The template works like a charm, and i have a single problem that im not sure how to solve.

I would like to monitor the use of the SFP+ interfaces. But i dont see any traffic in them when i run tests, the rest of the normal RJ45 have the information that i need but for some reason it seems that the template cannot pull the info from the SFP+ interfaces.

Has anyone any idea on what can be done?

                        Thanks.

I don't know. Truthfully I did this template originally just to scratch and itch and I'm thrilled other people who know Zabbix have improved on it.

I ran into the same version issue and found just going into the template file and changing the version allowed me to import a version 6.2 template into 6.0
No idea if that'll work for 5.4 too, but it's sort of time to upgrade anyway guys.

                              Hey Guys,

i am new in the zabbix world and currently im struggling with modifying this template for our needs.
We use CX 6100 switches along the old aruba os devices.

so we found that template online. for us, this template monitors to MUCH data, we only want to monitor the ports that are named "UPLINK".
                              so i set this up:

Size:	76.0 KB

Name:	image.png
Views:	2336
Size:	7.2 KB
ID:	486791

the conclusion for us for now is that this does nothing.
                              what are we doing wrong?

I haven't looked at the template yet.
But in the normal HP Enterprise template I use the override function in the discovery rule to correct the triggers accordingly.
An uplink trigger is of course more important than a printer trigger.
Here you should also be able to prevent an item from being created.
