we're using Zabbix (7.0 LTS) to monitor a few VMware VCenters with the template out of the box and everything works well.
The other day I noticed a massive drop in our VPS values and after a little of analysis found out that the credentials of the users configured for the VMware monitoring are expired.
It seems pretty serious to me that Zabbix didn't send any notice about the credentials not working, simply there were no new values for all the monitored items.
As a quick workaround I added a simple high severity trigger named "No data from VMware in the last 30 minutes" configured as
I thought to share it here and check your opinions about this. Shouldn't this be a default on the template? Is there a better way to accomplish my goal?
