VMware template does not warn about expired user

    Hello everyone,
we're using Zabbix (7.0 LTS) to monitor a few VMware VCenters with the template out of the box and everything works well.
The other day I noticed a massive drop in our VPS values and after a little of analysis found out that the credentials of the users configured for the VMware monitoring are expired.

It seems pretty serious to me that Zabbix didn't send any notice about the credentials not working, simply there were no new values for all the monitored items.

As a quick workaround I added a simple high severity trigger named "No data from VMware in the last 30 minutes" configured as
    Code:
    nodata(/VMware/vmware.eventlog[{$VMWARE.URL},skip],1800s)=1
I thought to share it here and check your opinions about this. Shouldn't this be a default on the template? Is there a better way to accomplish my goal?

    Best regards,
    dan

    Hey hey !
Your solution is already best option ))
As I see your current trigger is working
I can suggest you to add 1-2 more nodata() checks for different VMware service types
Consider implementing a "heartbeat" item that specifically tests credentials
