    I don't receive recovery messages

    Even I checked on "Recovery message" message checkbox when defined my action, I receive only email when trigger is switching ON, but not when it going OFF again.

    Hmm, not sure why this happens. Please try 1.5.4 when it is out and let us know if the issue is fixed.

      OK, I hope I understand more now. I *do* receive recovery message, but it's the same message as for alert.
      I played with both "Default subject" and "Recovery subject" under "Action" tab and with "Subject" under "Action operations", but without success.
      BTW, I don't understand what is relationship and difference between "Action" and "Action operations?

      I want pretty trivial thing:
      1) to receive alert email when any trigger goes ON
      2) to receive recovery email when this trigger goes OFF.

      See attached screenshot for my configuration.

      thanks

        I had the same problem

        I also received the same messages when trigger switched to ON and OFF. In "Action conditions" I set the normal conditions (Trigger = "blah blah") and TriggerStatus (or something similar in English, because I'm using German locales) = ON.

        So if you check "Recovery Message", you will get the recovery message if the TriggerStatus switch to OFF.

        If you checked "Default Message" in Action operations, you will get the default messages and subjects you defined in "Action". Otherwise you can type a custom message in the text field below the "Default Message" checkbox.

          thank you for your answer!

          unfortunately, I didn't understand if you found a solution/workaround for this problem?

            That was the workaround

            Hello and sorry for my bad english which is hard to understand...

            When I was starting to play a bit with zabbix, all my Actions had only one condition:
            Triggername=<Name of the trigger>.
            I noticed that, no matter if I checked "Recovery Message" or not, zabbix sends 2 messages with the same content. The content came from "Default Subject" and "Default Message". After some time I tested to add a condition:
            Triggerstatus="ON" (linked with "and" to the other condition).
            Now, zabbix sent only one message (if "Recovery Message" wasn't checked). After checking "Recovery Message" I got a additional message with content from "Recovery Subject" and "Recovery Message", when the trigger goes to OFF state.

            So I just added this Action condition and all worked fine...

              Many thanks! "triggerstate" in condition was this missing piece!

                I'm not getting a recovery message either. Using build 5947.

                I get the default message when the trigger goes on and the same message again when it goes off. I'm not sure what the point of the recovery message settings are yet.

                  Hi Guys.

                  I am also not getting the recovery message and i am using 1.6

                  I get the same default message if the trigger is on or off. Email notifications with Zabbix are my biggest issue at the moment and i just need to get to the bottom of them so i can move on and progress with what i don think is one of the best monitoring products

                  Any ideas or help would be fantastic

                      there are the same logic on v1.6.5 and the documentation is very not clear on this point !

                      For my need, I have this conditions :
                      Trigger = "Availabity website"
                      Trigger severity = "Warning"
                      Trigger value = "PROBLEM"

                      So I receive the "default message" with the status "PROBLEM" and I receive the "recovery message" when the status back to "OK".

                      But there are too email sent.
