I'm making the move from Nagios+Cacti to Zabbix. I've started with 1.9.3 so that I can use the low-level discovery features ~ as I did with Cacti.
I do not plan to rely on my Zabbix install until the build is marked as stable. However, in the mean time, I'm worried that the time I spend on 1.9.3 templates and host configuration might be lost if future versions are not able to read these configs (schema change, etc).
Should there always be an upgrade path available that will allow my configuration to work with new versions so that I do not have to start from scratch?
