Is there a download link for 2.2 yet? I can't see it on the downloads page and I'm keen to get SNMP v3 with AES working.

Yes, under the alpha releases section on the download page (http://www.zabbix.com/download.php). Zabbix 2.1.4 is an alpha build of 2.2.

Though, having taken a look at the roadmap I can conclude LLD is not even planned to be fixed even after I've proposed a patch and pointed to what is done totally wrong within various parts of code. I'm speaking of https://support.zabbix.com/browse/ZBX-6914. I've tried to fix frontend myself but that messed FE totally broken. I can't do it myself though I've figured out what's wrong with the code. Still no update from dev-team at all. Even 'you did it wrong, the issue is another part of code'.

So, is feedback still welcome in Zabbix?

Of course it's welcome. Just because they didn't respond to you personally doesn't mean they haven't seen it.

The Devs have indicated in that past that they do not incorporate community provided patches into the code. Yes, there is good and bad associated with that kind of policy, but for us it is what it is and we might as well live with it.

Also as the Devs have indicated, if you really are desperate to get functionality added to upstream, you can always pay to get it added. Who knows, maybe if you provide a patch, the cost is cheaper? If you want to go that route, you probably have to send an email to sales.

When I provided a patch to Sencha they also noted they do not incorporate any community provided patch. But they provide code-sponsors with Contributor's License Agreement (CLA) within which a contributor gives Sencha all the rights to the code provided. Is it possible to pay for functionality one does need with CLA-covered code in Zabbix?
