NetApp Filer

Guys.

I have downloaded the NetApp Filer xml file from the WIKI (Thanks very much to the guy who posted it up)

The problem is i have set up and a new host provided all the details and then linked the host to the NetApp template but after 60 minutes my host is still not showing as being monitored.

Any ideas what i have done wrong?

Does anyone have any documentation on this?

My first thought is can you do an SNMP walk on the Filer from the Zabbix server using the same credentials?

Once you've verified that then we can be confident it's not a network issue.

Thanks mate for the reply. Can you confirm the command i need to run please?

I used

snmpwalk -c public IP ADDRESS HERE

to which i get a snmpwalk: timeout

Hello mate.

if i use the following command

snmpwalk -v1 -c public 10.10.100.10

Then it returns a whole load of information. So any ideas as to why everything is UNKNOWN in the zabbix console?

Also in the .xml file is

<host name="Template NetApp">
<ip>0.0.0.0</ip>
<port>10050</port>
<status>3</status>

Do i need to put something in the IP line or is that correct being 0.0.0.0?

Just some more information.

I had a look at some of the commnds the .xml files will run and i copied them over to the Zabbix console and run them for example

snmpwalk -v1 -c public IP ADDRESS HERE .1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.7.1.8.0

Which returned the Domain Controller the NetApp filer was connected to so it looks like my SNMP is setup right. In the Zabbix console everything is just displaying UNKNOWN even simple ping?

Just at a loss right now as to what to check next

Doh.

It would seem my zabbix_server had stopped. As soon as i started it again loads of information started to flow through.

I am sure i am going to have some further questions.
