Host status deosn't work well ?

Hi all,

I got a trigger on host status. When the server is on, no problem, the trigger is green. But when the server shutdown, the trigger is grey... not red ! Where does the problem come from ?

I really need help because I can't see when a server is down because the trigger doesn't work well...

My trigger :

My item :
agent.ping

This item is calculated by the server when a change occurs.

Initial state is unknown so you force a change by yourself (I think a "stop, wait & start" of the zabbix service would help).

Before this trigger was working well. since a time, it doesn't work well... By the way, however I've done you suggestion : to stop, wait & start the service but it don't answer to my problem.

What do you mean with "I prefer .nodata" ? because when the server is down, the trigger is grey whith th value : "nodata"... you mean that i must base my trigger on this string ?

I have a similar problem. Almost 10 of 30 servers has the alarm "Server {HOSTNAME} is unreachable" on the dashboard on grey status, instead of green / red status. I don't know why those items are not updated.

An update: 1 of the monitored servers is working well... server is down, host unreachable status is red and the other data is grey. I think this is the correct work of Zabbix, but I'm trying to find wheter is the error on the others
