What are the possibilities of pattern to monitor logs ?

    Hello,

i'm currently testing the logs monitoring feature of zabbix. I've made a text file where I add some new lines with :

    echo 'content' >> /path/file.log

Then, I've made an item to catch some special lines.

    I've seen I can use :

log[/path/file.log,ABC] : to match all line with ABC
    log[/path/file.log,A[1-5]B] : to match all line with A1B, A2B, A3B, A4B or A5B.

So my question is : is there a documentation where a can find all the syntaxes awailable in the "pattern" ?

For example, I would like to match : AdfdfdfqdsB and AhhhhhkjB.
I've put : log[/path/file.log,A[a-z]*B], but it's not ok... I think it's not the right syntax...

    Thanks in advance.

Search for Posix Regular expressions. Zabbix supports Posix style syntax.

Oh, ok... I think I've made a mistake in my config because I've forgotten the delay between config change on the server, and update on the client... 120 seconds... ^^
Perhaps I've tested a bit to quick.

I've set the delay to 60 seconds. It seems to be the min possible isn't it ? A value less than 60 give me an error when I try to launch zabbix_agentd...

The syntax was ok, it was only a problem of refresh time.

What about the last question ?
