    Actually it is there, but it is hiding. At the bottom of the Zabbix Agent list of keys you will see vfs.fs.size[fs<,mode>]. See the manual P.107 :

    fs - filesystem, mode
    - one of total
    (default), free, used,
    pfree (free,
    percentage), pused
    (used, percentage)

    Disclaimer: All of the above is pure speculation.

            You may want to set "Type of information" to Numeric(float) as you get percentage, which is not always integer: 10.34.

              Yes, put the information to float.
              And, another thing is wrong... your test. If you want to receive a notification when the / is 80% full, the trigger should be <20 and not <80.
              (80% full == 20% free, so pfree <=20).

                ok I just changed it to float... I used <80 just in order to test -- which means it will send alert if disk is 20% used :-)

                however, the partition is 22% used and is not sending the event

                Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
                /dev/sda1 2.9G 586M 2.2G 22% /

                  Are you sure you don't have a notification in the "non classified" column, on the line corresponding to the group of your machine ?
                  Is the monitoring of your machine well active ?
                  Is the item still active ? What about the walues collected on the "last metrics" screen ?
