some things I have learned.
first off, I have recovery messages enabled. I also have maintenance messages with recovery messages.
If a trigger goes into alert status before the maintenance period starts, it will not go in to the maintenance loop with the rest of the triggers. which means when it clears it will send the regular clear message.
If a trigger goes into alert status during the maintenance window, the trigger is in the maintenance loop, when the maintenance period ends it will not trigger a regular alert until it has cleared and ended the maintenance loop. it will also clear with the "cleared in maintenance" message.
You can not retroactively add a maintenance period to resolve an already running alert.
Hope these tidbits help someone.
