remote monitoring over the internet

I have been trying to set up some the monitoring of a remote server over the internet, both my zabbex server and the remote server are behind firewalls. I have tried opening the ports 10050 and 10051 on both ends and forwarding them on the zabbix end. this does not work. does anyone know what ports I need to open and on which end, the same with port forwarding.

Open port 10050 direction out for zabbix server, direction in for remote server
Open port 10051 direction in for zabbix server, direction out for remote server
