Questions about monitoring & management of middleware and more in IT infrastructure

I'm a new hand.

Reading documents and installing v1.8.2, I know that Zabbix provides functionality of monitoring basic availability status of servers, network services and devices, and that Zabbix can be easily extended to monitor and manage middleware (like Oracle DB, Weblogic/Websphere, etc) and applications (I noticed that the creator of Zabbix mentioned this point in a presentation). But as far as i know, the zabbix version downloaded from the official site does not include the latter functionality which i care.

I wonder how to get those necessary plugins so as to monitor other layers of IT infrastructure. Are they available without charge? Or Must i buy the corresponding commercial services?

I noticed orabbix, a third-party plugin for oracle DB, but don't know whether it is full-functioned. Is there some documentation about monitoring of common middleware?

As virtualization is becoming another common component of IT infrastructure, it is necessary to monitor and manage Virtual machine. Is there a zabbix plugin for VM management or is there development idea? I want a VM management solution for KVM.

You must realize, that zabbix is very young software with small development team. Their concentrating on basic features and functionality. Because that, some advanced user of zabbix SW create their own "plugins"...you can say hack, which could work only for them or only on specific configuration like version of zabbix etc.
There arent any commercional plugins or extension, only home work if you have some programing skill.

Oracle DB --> using zabora we can monitor

Weblogic --> using commend line utility we can monitor. (http://php.ptagis.org/wiki/index.php...e_command_line)

Websphere --> Using JMX we can monitor webspere.

MQ --> using commend line utility we can monitor(runmqsc,dis ql,etc)

KVm --> we can develop zabbix plugin to monitor Vm.

if you understand the zabbix architecture , you can develop the plugin in any middleware
