Yeah. The recent UI changes do not show the actual items in the host configuration like they used to. It would be nice to be able to do this without having to resort to editing the DB or using the API.

Availability reports for web monitoring is limited to 3 month because of the maximum trend histroy of 90 days. This should be configurable...

          hope someone could help.

I agree, please bring back the ability to alter the individual web monitoring items. What benefit does this change have other than removing item clutter for the zabbix server? No reason to take away configurable parameters that many of us use.

To fix this via mysql I did the following:

UPDATE `zabbix`.`items` set trends = 365 where hostid = "id.of.your.zabbix.server" and type = 9; It looked to me like the only items that had type of 9 were the web monitoring stuff. Maybe if I changed the type to 0 they'd show up in the GUI. I haven't tested that yet.

You can find the hostid of your zabbix server most likely by just doing a SELECT * FROM `zabbix`.`hosts` and finding the hostid that matches your zabbix server.

Yes of course, there are more efficient ways to do this, but I'm not a mysql person and this is what worked for me.

Its been a long time and this thread appears to be valid for zabbix 2.2.

                  Code:
update items set trends=365,history=30 where type=9
                  Documentation states:
Web monitoring items are added with a 30 day history and a 90 day trend retention period.
