Get users connected to specific application

Hello all,

I am new here. I was install zabbix a few days ago and use it to monitor 5 servers. I found that zabbix is very great tool to monitor our servers.

Now I have question. We have an application which listen on several ports. I want zabbix can tell me how much user connected to this application based on TCP state Established on ports?

Or is there any way to do this ?

I would create a user parameter, which would parse output of netstat (make sure option -n is used) and provide you with the requested stats.

How do I create it? using script in server and send output to specific file?

In zabbix_agentd.conf

UserParameter=myapp.con,netstat -n | grep 10050 | grep -c [:E:]STABLISHED

In the template/host create an item with key "myapp.con"
