Hi all
I'm wondering if the simple check htttp,<port> is realy an http check or just a 'port open' check...
Out of curiosity I tested using another open port , the check keeps returning 'http is UP' , the only problem is that the tested port is a TSE port
I guess I have to use a web scenario in order to realy check the web server, but if this is the case, what other simple checks are not realy services check ?
do they realy the service or just check for open port ? I have to say it's a bit disapointing
How do you guys test that a service is realy anwering and not just stuck there ? External checks with retrofitted nagios / whatever checks ?
Thanks in advance
