    MAP with network consumption?

    I've saw someone did a network map with bandwidth consumption at links. But he doesn't say how to do this.
    My intention is do a network map like weathermap.
    I've installed the weathermap and I'm using this at Zabbix Server. But it is not easy to administrate.

    So is it possible to perform the network bandwidth information at Zabbix MAP?
    Or I really need to use plugins like weathermap.

    tks

    Of course it is absolutely possible. You should take advantage of macros to make it possible. For bandwidth utilization use something like this in connector label:

    Current network utilization:
    Incoming (Bps, avg1): {HostA:net.if.in[eth0,bytes].avg(60)}
    Outgoing (Bps, avg1): {HostA:net.if.out[eth0,bytes].avg(60)}

    That's it.

    Note that you may use macros in your icon labels as well!

    CPU load: {{HOSTNAME}:system.cpu.load[,avg1].last(0)}

      Maps changing informations color dynamically??

      Thats great. Thanks a lot !!!!

      thats works wonderful.....

      but I still have some questions:

      Is it possible to build a network bandwidth like weathermap? for example. I have some information about the network consuption, but this information is not always easy to understand to managers. So, can I create some conditions? for example: if my network consuption is between 50Mbps and 80Mbps, the informations color must be changed.
      Where can I create this macro? How to do this?

      Any information will be helpfull a lot.

      thanks a lot.

      best regards,

      Leandro

        Sure, it is absolutely possible as well. Just create a few triggers of different severities and attach them with different colors to the link representing your bandwidth.

            hello,

            I like the triggers trick to change colors of links but triggers are designed to report problems. So, using them in maps do not allow use of custom icons because some-host-problem-icon is always activated upon map display.

            Is there any way to make a trigger being "not_a_problem_all_is_fine" in Zabbix semantics ?

            Or, should I better plan to integrate weathermap with Zabbix ?

            Thanks for any input !

            ps: new to zabbix and really loving it. congrats to dev team !
