    Hello

You can monitor the event viewer DFS replication
You have here an example: http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/templates/windows/eventlog

No need to create any script. You can create items. See the example in the wiki http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/templates/windows/eventlog

sandeepk, i have a great experience with DFSR troubleshooting - it's major thing need to have. Without experience of DFSR troubleshooting you will not know how to monitor it. IMO.

Eventlog is not enough to good monitoring DFSR.
Related regular events is not useful. You need to monitor very rare events with a ID: 2102 2104 (most scare errors, IMO) and maybe another.

Administrator should to know about this events:
              4010 - replication member deleted.
4102 - initial replication starts, 4104 - initial replication finished.
(list can be not full !!!)

For the troubleshooting - events ID, which should be EXCLUDED !!! for the best view (i know only one program, which can do that - Hyena) :

              for diagnostics:
              1006,1102,1104,4302,2008,4412,1206,1202,1210,6102, 4202,4204,4208,4210,1002,1314,5014,5002,5004,5012, 5008,4008,4304,3006,5016,4206,1204,4112,6804,6806, 4114

              for finding error:
              1006,1102,1104,4302,2008,4412,1206,1202,1210,6102, 4202,4204,4208,4210,1002,1314,5014,5002,5004,5012, 5008,4008,4304,3006,5016,4206,1204,,4112,6804,1004 ,1008,4002,4102,4010,4104,4004,6404,6806,4114

I have a draft notes (only in Ukrainian, sorry ) after my troubleshooting, and i can share with you privately "as is" if you want.

And try an attached script for a "dfsrdiag backlog" monitoring. It's not ready to use with zabbix, but if you want - you can do that. I googled it once after some problem.

p.s. i'm still do not monitor DFSR by zabbix
