Proxy when server is up again

    Hi all!
i have an issue related with the Zabbix_proxy. in its configuration (zabbix_proxy.conf) there is a parameter called "ProxyOnlineBuffer" that keeps data for N hours in case of no connectivity with Zabbix.
so the proxy will keep for N hours the information in its database.
    my question is:
when the server goes down there is a possibility to see all the data collected by the proxy in the web interface of the server when it come to life ?.
for example if the ProxyOnlineBuffer has value 8 and the server goes down for a couple of hours, can zabbix server record the data from the proxy the hours that the server was down?
instead seeing a gap in a graph
    thanks !! !!

What 'server' to you mean - zabbix server, zabbix proxy server, or monitored server ?

This option is for the zabbix server being down or unreachable, so proxy will store data and send later when it can.

If monitored server goes down, then proxy has no data of course and can't do anything.

hi mushero thanks for replying but i know what you said i may have not explained well.

i have a "zabbix_server" in the network and "zabbix_proxy" in one cluster. the "zabbix_proxy" is monitoring the elements i want from the cluster, i have a value of ProxyOfflineBuffer equal to 8. so if the "zabbix_server" goes down, the "zabbix_proxy" gathers all the information till 8 hours always if the "zabbix_server" is still down. so when the "zabbix_server" comes to life again, the "zabbix_proxy" sends all the information stored to the "zabbix_server".

my question is why in the graphs that the "zabbix_server" is monitoring from the "zabbix_proxy" the time that the "zabbix_server" was down (consider that now zabbix_Server is alive), in the graph there is a gap of information.

i thought that with this parameter ProxyOfflineBuffer made "zabbix_server" recover the data from the proxy the time that the "zabbix_server" was down and filling the gap when the server was down.

i don't know if i am doing something wrong but in my case i think that this parameter is pointless.

In that gap of time, did the other 2 servers still working?
        ProxyLocalBuffer parameter?

          Hi Furiwel thanks for replying
all works but still i have the gap in time in the graphs when the only machine that doesn't works is the zabbix_Server (when is down ofcourse).
i guess that the issue is related with ProxyLocalBuffer. i will try it now
          thanks !!

I suppose that ProxyLocalBuffer parameter has to be equal or greater than ProxyOnlineBuffer.
