How to generate availability report for web scenario with % ?

    Hi there,

Generating availability reports should be common requirement for monitoring system - it's most widely used in order to report availibility percentage, whenever there's an SLA agreement.

Unfortunately I have two problems with that in zabbix:

    1) I cannot see any way to generate such a report from the web scenario (which would be the most apropriate for testing 'did the site work or not')

    2) Reports generated contain only bars for each day, without numerical values (while specific numerical percentage is needed in order to verify the compliance with the stated SLA agreement)

    Thanks for any suggestions!

      .. and here

We have to provide reports to our "customers" and at the moment that consists of including copied/pasted graphs from Zabbix which doesn't look good and is a pain for each report.

We would love to see automated reports generated from Zabbix as most other monitoring solutions can do. The monitoring itself from Zabbix is superb but reporting on it is not.

Hopefully, if enough of us request it, it may end up in a future release. Fingers crossed!

        Use triggers and "IT services"

        Hi

We have setup something similar, and I think our solution might be you are looking for.

        1. Create the Web scenario (you already did this)
        2. Go to Monitor -> latest data (not Web!) and you will see your web scanario has generated ~5 metrics with each their own key
        3. Find the key that matches the "Failed steps of scenario". This value will be 0 if the scenario completed or a positive integer indicating the failed step.
        4. Create a trigger for the key you just found, have it fail if the value is >0
        5. Finally in "IT Services" create a service monitoring the trigger you just created. This IT service will give you the uptime + SLA for the triger and web scenario

This is a great report and is very close to what I am looking for.
Is there any way to get this on a weekly/monthly basis? Maybe something as simple as putting it in the 'graph' section? We could then use the Graph PDF generation tool detailed at https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24998

Zabbix is a great tool but its poor reporting is making our adoption of it difficult.
