Graph chart2.php unable to render international string (chinese)

Hi I am using Zabbix 2.0.4, and when I look at graphs generated by chart2.php i believe, Chinese characters are shown as blocks. I am wondering if there's a way to get it to render correctly. I also use Chinese translation and change trigger and item names to include Chinese, and they show up perfectly in the frontend.

Perhaps I need to look at php-gd or related settings?
