Delaying notifications for specific time period.

Is there a way to delay notifications until a trigger has been experienced for a specified amount of time? I have a few network connections that are monitored and every once in a while they disconnect and then are quickly reconnected. During which time the zabbix agent sees the disconnected state and then sends out a notification. Shortly after an OK email is sent out. Would it be possible to setup either the trigger or the notification to check for a disconnected state that lasts longer than say 2 minutes or spans so many check intervals? Thanks in advance.

Would that still send a notification if the issue resolves itself within the time period?

In the actions section of the doc, it says "If enabled, Zabbix will send a recovery message after the original problem is resolved. The messages will be sent only to those who received any message regarding this problem before.", so I don't think you get a recovery unless a "problem" message has been sent.

What I meant was that in setting the setting to say 120 seconds will a message only be delayed for 2 minutes or if the trigger is resolved in that time period will any notification be sent at all? Thanks for responding.

If it resolves in the 120, I'm pretty sure no messages are sent, either failed or resolved. I think that is what you want :-)

That is exactly what I am looking for. I'll set it up and test it out. Thanks again for your help.

did that work the way you wanted?

                Hi,
wondering what settings you used to get what you wanted (delayed alerts)? I need something similar done for false alerts. appreciate if you can share your settings.
