Active Agent - Duplication

Hi,

We have remote servers that are using the active functionality. We have opened the port back to the Zabbix server and tested one machine. It works fine and data is being reported back.

I added a second agent (remote host), made sure the hostname is the same, however I am getting the same results for the first host in the second hosts values. I have tested the configuration and it looks like under agent interface, where I have entered IP address 0.0.0.0 twice for each agent. I believe it's presuming they are coming from the same machine.

If I change the IP for the second machine, it stops pulling in information from the first host.

So I guess for active agents connecting from the web, what is the correct configuration under Agent interface for remote agents? As there is no IP to give, as its connect to the Zabbix machine not the other way around.

So I suppose the question is:

What do you put in the IP section, when you have remote agents dialing in. What configuration do you give the hosts?

Did you remember to change the "Hostname=" in your zabbix agent configuration file?

Thanks for the reply, yes the hostnames are different.

Should the ip always be 0.0.0.0 for remote agents?
