False report of "zabbix server is not running the information displayed..."

We've zabbix 2.0.6 and today we have seen reports popping up periodically that the zabbix server is not running in the web interface. However, the server is running perfectly ok.

The only change I've made today is to modify 2 php files on this version as per this thread Host inventory as it should be (cpuz integration) .

Previously in 2.0.5 this worked fine with no issues and I can't see how it could be causing this false trigger...

I've managed to narrow this down a bit more... I think its unrelated to the frontend... Since around 8am this morning there seems to have been a rise in the trapper busy process from it's normal 20% to 100% and when it's peaking then the frontend is showing as offline...

There have been no other changes other than the gui to display host inventory data properly...

I can relate. I had that for about 5 minutes this morning. Mine seems to occur mostly when that pig housekeeper runs, and puts several processes at or near 100%. It also drives the Zabbix queue sky-high.

I increased the number of trappers and the load decreased... During this period we had a load of servers offline due a network connection failure so they weren't reporting in... This led to a large queue, but I don't think this should overload the trappers... However, once the servers came back on then the trapper utilisation went back to normal...
