When updating hostname, zabbix complains that host already exists.

When updating hostname, zabbix complains that host already exists. However, this is simply not true on any level.. I have searched through and through and cannot find the host name that it keeps saying already exists. The old and new host names are nothing alike. I am pretty confused at this point as to why zabbix keeps making this complaint.
Just curious if any of the gurus have seen this before.. I am about to start messing with the database, which never ends well at all.

I dumped the database, and the host name is in there.

I don't understand *QL talk, but I do see the hostname is in there. It almost appears to be associated with an old group name. A name that I renamed to something else, so the group doesn't actually exist anymore... I am going to try re-creating the group it's self and see what happens.

Solved.. Sorta...

So after utilizing one of my co-workers mad db skills.. We learned that the host does exist but it's VISIBLE name is different than the host name. So when doing a search for the host it skips the hostname and only uses the visible name. This almost seems like a bug to me.

So just to make sure I understand what the man page is stating...

If that's accurate, that there is no away around this issue. That is totally unexpected behavior, and I would hope that in the future one would have say a check box to search just the real hostname instead of the visible.
