Missing init Script

Good Morning,

i´m using zabbix-server 2.0.9_rc1-r2. This is the stable release on gentoo. Since i upgraded from 2.0.8 i don´t have the init script under /etc/init.d. So i do not know how to start/stopp the server. There is no zabbix-server file for start/stop. I reemerged it several times but i do not get a init Script? Any Ideas?

not know about gentoo

but are u sure they not moved to systemd ? maybe scripts where ported

systemctl list-unit-files


in redhat and derrivates the server file is located in:
/usr/sbin/zabbix_server

sorry. systemctl command not found.

under /usr/sbin isn´t zabbix-server. Till Version 2.0.8 everything was fine

Hi,

i found it. I don´t know how this could happend. My useflags was deleted so i compiled zabbix without the "server" flag. So there wasn´t a server anymore. The service also been running so i don´t realised this.
