SNMP - No Such Object available on this agent at this OID.

    Hi,

I have this message when I run a snmpget with the OIDs

I have an application running into a windows server called RedBox, but i can't get the values from it. When I try snmpwalk command at 10.20.0.60 (Windows Server IP), i can't see the OID's of the RedBox application.

In the Windows services panel there is a service called RedBox SNMP agent.
Anyone have any idea to solve this issue?

When i ran a snmpwalk, there are no OID's from this MIB file, i think it means that i don't have this MIB file avaiable at my Windows Server, i searched a lot about how to install a third party MIB on a WS but with no success.

Have you check if there is a firewall between the machine you performed the snmpwalk and your redbox machine?
did you check your snmp port (161)?
which version of snmp are you running? Is cause of v2 or v3, did you check your security configuration? (community, auth and/or priv)
are you able to walk from the redbox to itself?

There's no firewall between my debian server and my windows server, i can get the windows OID's normally.

The community is configured to public in snmp v2c version

How can i walk from windows to my redbox application?

you will probably need a third party application, but that can help you ensure your SNMP is properly configured.
First thing you need to guarantee is successfully running a snmpwalk on this machine. It should work from another machine with conectivity to your Redbox, but tearing off networking problems can helpa lot too...

After verifying that your SNMPWALK is running properly and your MIBs are working fine, you can start configuring Zabbix to collect data.

So, when you perform a SNMPWALK on your redbox, do you get any MIBs? or you just get a "end of mibs" message?

I will try to explain my scenario.

I have an Red Box SNMPAgent running in my WS under SNMPAgentService.exe

And i also have the SNMP service running at my server.

When i ran a snmpwalk throught my debian server (zabbix location) to my WS (where the RedBox app is running) i can see a lot of OID's, but i think they are Windows OID's, and when i try a snmpget using an OID by Redbox i get this error.

It doesn't make sense to me. Why do you have two agents running on the same server? You should have different MIBs running on your server and let your snmpwalk do the job. All of them should be configured on the same agent and you should use different OIDs for collecting data.

For example, you have OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1, which gives you system description, that should return you info about your WS, not your Red Box, unless you have MIBs for your Red Box. Which, in that case, should give you info about your app...

My snmpwalk command just get informations about my WS, for example i can get the value of this OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1) which describes my system description.

I really don't know why i have two agents running at the same time, it's the first time that i see this case of application, i found just an example about it.

I have a MIB file of my RedBox, with all the OID's, i attached it into a previous post.

It's almost the same case, i don't know this application but it's a third party SNMP application running with the windows SNMP Agent .

So, those OIDs (from your Red Box MIB) returns nothing? When you perform a snmpwalk on your desired MIB, it returns nothing?

Did you check if your MIB is properly installed on your WS?

When i do a snmpwalk i can see a lot of OID's but none from redbox, the redbox snmp agent is running under running in my WS under SNMPAgentService.exe.
