Is that the actual email address inside the Zabbix user's settings?--> If so then change it to the real email address inside Zabbix.

Or did you change that for this post?
--> Can you send email to that address?

Basically, the receiving email server doesn't accept the address used.

Hi arikin, thanks for your reply!

Yes I am possible to send a message to actual email address.
Due to the security reason I'd like to hide my company info, so it was changed to <[email protected]>, but I'm 100% sure the actual one, registered one, in the configuration info is valid.

      Any clues?

Looks like problem with authorize snmp. Your snmp need to login before sending messages.

          Did you meant SMTP?
I doubt the same as yours but really do not know how have to do.
I'm using Zabbix 2.2 OpenSUSE, installed on real machine, not on VMware HDD.
More info: successfully configured LDAP authentication login.

Could you show us the Media settings?
Did you update the Email media?

              Administration→Media types

The SMTP server should be the one on the same zabbix server or a remote smtp server that is set to relay from your zabbix server.

BUT... there is no field for password. So if your smtp server requires authentication it will probably be rejected.

So you are left with some choices. Install a SMTP server on the zabbix server or, if you are required to use an external smtp server try packages that will do authentication for you:

Did you or did you not fix it? To test your SMTP setup, try to connect and send directly with SMTP from your zabbix server:

                    Code:
                    telnet <your.smtpserverip.org> 25
                    and then:

                    Code:
                    helo me <enter>
                    mail from: <your.sender.emailaddress> + <enter>
                    rcpt to: <your.recipient.emailaddress> + <enter>
                    data <enter>
                    TESTMESSAGE<enter>
                    .<enter>
Unless an error occured, this will send an e-mail containing the text "TESTMESSAGE" to the given e-mailaddress. Otherwise, post your error message.

Thanks, I did follow your instruction but no luck, image below:

Note that our zabbix server is separated with smtp server, any clue?

OK, so your the problem is with your mailserver setup, not your zabbixserver setup. Do you manage this postfix mailserver yourself? In that case you'll have to change your config so your zabbix e-mail notification address does not have to authenticate before sending. If that is not possible, you could maybe use your ISP's smarthost (usually without authentication) or - as a last resort - install postfix or exim on your zabbix server.

so I might go ahead with installation the postfix or exim on zabbix server, does this impact to the main postfix server of my company?
(I'm not handle the postfix server of company)

No, it won't as you will be sending e-mails only and not recieving any. You should check your companies firewall though as it could be blocking any outgoing traffic on port 25 other than from your companies primary email server.
