Upgrade Zabbix 3.0 to 3.4 Linux Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

    Hi all,

I have been trying to upgrade zabbix from 3.0 to 3.4 on ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I have done upgrade successfully several time in past.

I have followed "Upgrade procedure using package" for Debian/Ubuntu. When I executed "dpkg -i zabbix-release_3.4-1+trusty_all.deb" I was prompted for this:

    Configuration file '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/zabbix.list'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ?
    Your options are:
    Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
    N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
    *** zabbix.list (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?

.. and I chose "N". I know it was mistake and I realized it just after I pressed Enter :-)

When I run "apt-get install --only-upgrade .." the result is that the newest version is already installed but it isnt. Can anybody give me an advise how to get the mistake back and execute update sucessfully?

    Thank you, Marek

    Run

    "dpkg --purge zabbix-release"

then check to be sure the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zabbix.list file is gone, and if not delete it.

    then run

    "dpkg -i zabbix-release_3.4-1+trusty_all.deb"
