    For sure, aib!

But the log file is so big... I'll post only the error about fping, ok?

At the beginning of the file the predominant erorr is :

6555:20140228:200036.915 fping failed: "/usr/sbin/fping6: can't create raw socket (must run as root?) : Operation not permitted."

At the end of the file, the predominant error is:

2152:20140306:175003.411 At least one of '/usr/sbin/fping' , '/usr/sbin/fping6/' must exist. Both are missing in the system.

      try to cheat the system.

      1) copy fping & fping6 in new location
      # cp /usr/sbin/fping* /sbin

      2) change the settings in zabbix_server.conf
      - uncomment lines
      # FpingLocation=/usr/sbin/fping
      # Fping6Location=/usr/sbin/fping6
      - change the path to correct one
      FpingLocation=/sbin/fping
      Fping6Location=/sbin/fping6

      3) To be completely protected, repeat the same set of commands as before:
      # chown root:zabbix /sbin/fping
      # chown root:zabbix /sbin/fping6
      # chmod 710 /sbin/fping
      # chmod 710 /sbin/fping6
      # chmod ug+s /sbin/fping
      # chmod ug+s /sbin/fping6
      # chmod +s /sbin/fping
      # chmod +s /sbin/fping6
      4) Add some settings in /etc/sudousers

      zabbix ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /sbin/fping
      zabbix ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /sbin/fping6

      5) restart zabbix_server and check the errors :
      #/etc/init.d/zabbix-server restart
      # grep -i fping /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log

      6) Show us the result.

Does it sound like a plan?
      Sincerely yours,
      Aleksey

Thanks for the idea, aib! But the problem still the same...

2152:20140306:175003.411 At least one of '/sbin/fping' , '/sbin/fping6/' must exist. Both are missing in the system.

I'll try to reinstall zabbix... but thanks!

Did you escaped from the second message ?

          Code:
6555:20140228:200036.915 fping failed: "/usr/sbin/fping6: can't create raw socket (must run as root?) : Operation not permitted."
Also I find the notes that - sometimes - it happens when user zabbix not in group zabbix.

          Try this command
          # usermod -a -G zabbix zabbix

          and restart zabbix_server.

          OK?
