Secure connection between proxy and server

    Hello,

I've searched through forums, but haven't found anything yet about how to provide secure connection between proxy and server. My current setup needs one proxy outside our internal network to monitor our web pages and services from external users' point of view. So it is necessary to have secured connection from that proxy to our central Zabbix server. So I have two questions:

    1) How secure is the standard connection between server and proxy.
    2) How is it possible to make it more secured?

Is it possible to create VPN between server and proxy?
VPN can be easily encrypted and it will protect all your data from KGB spies.
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

I've thought about VPN. Just wondered if there was any option available by Zabbix itself. If there's none, I think I have to go with VPN.

Or use a SSL tunnel like stunnel (or even connect via a SSH tunnel).

Home page for stunnel: a multiplatform GNU/GPL-licensed proxy encrypting arbitrary TCP connections with SSL/TLS.
