Zabbix Server Actions after Server Started (After powercut shuts it down)

We are experiencing power loss issues in our office that hosts the Zabbix server from time to time.
So when the power comes back on and the Zabbix server boots up, lots of triggers go off because data has not been coming in, which then produces lots of alerts (emails, sms etc..)

Does anyone have any suggestions to avoid this (apart from the obvious fixing the power problem or moving the server elsewhere)

Couple of ideas I had but im not sure if there possible:
    * After Zabbix Server starts - Automatically enter into a maintenance period with data collection for all hosts.
    * After Zabbix Server starts - Do not allow all or some actions for up to x number of minutes (to allow data to come back in and resolve the problems)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever the server goes offline due to an unexpected error, powercut etc. I normally start the server and log into the control panel and stop the SMTP service under (Administration > Media Types). This stops the e-mails, then check (Report > Action Log) and you will see the status of emails have failed. Depending on how many host you are monitoring I would wait a specific time before re-enabling the SMTP.

As of current I'm trying to find out if there is a command to stop the SMTP via the zabbix terminal instead of going into the front-end control panel. Hope this is of use. Invest in a UPS and plug in your Zabbix Server to that if you haven't got one already.
