Copy an Item multiple times

Hi everyone

I am really new to Zabbix. I have installed Zabbix 2.2.3 on CentOS 6.5

The purpose of the system in our organization is to monitor network devices. What I am currently doing is adding items for the monitoring of individual port, for example, on a switch.

Since I have ~~150 port in the switch and about 5 different monitors that I wanted to create, is there any simple and quick way to do this?

I have tried exporting the template to an Excel file, multiplying a single line (I just dragged the relevant lines down in order to get the values I wanted), but for some reason when I import the file back, nothing happens.

Please help! I really don't want to create 500 items with "clone"

Use LLD - it's the best and quickest way to create 100+ Items for all Network Interfaces on switches/routers.

I have tried setting up such a discovery, using SNMP.. I keep getting error, tough.. "cannot create item item with the same key already exists"

Could you please help me understand what am I doing wrong?
