Cannot Send Email from Zabbix - Connection Timeout

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to test send emails from Zabbix but whenever I do I get an error stating "Media type test failed. Connection timeout of 3 seconds sxceeded when connection to Zabbix server 'localhosy'."

I am running Zabbix on a Ubuntu 18.04 VM right now. Any help would be great appreicated!

Dear,

Which email you are using, Are you using office 365 mail server. It didn't work for us also. Then we created a SMTP relay in our local network thereafter it worked.
