    trigger dependance "add" button missing

I have a host which relies upon another host to be functional otherwise it will report lots of problems that do not really exist. I believe the dependencies option is for this exact eventuality ?

    Having gone to configuration > hosts >host A > triggers > dependencies

where the dependencies box is , the "add" button is missing. so I cannot add a dependency.

I repeated the process with another host and that does have the "add" button, I've gone back and forth trying to find out what the differences are and the only thing is the template. but should that matter ?

    thanks,

The one labeled working shows the "add" button, the other nonworking one doesn't have the "add" button.

Is one of your triggers inherited from a template?

Yes, It is inherited from a template, the same template is in use on a few hosts monitored by different proxies.

It probably triggers created by LLD ? Yes - for them it is impossible to establish dependence by such action .
