Web scenario every 300 sec fail then trigger web scenario for every 30 sec

I have setup web scenarios to check our sites login page every 300 seconds but every once in a while we seem to get a false positive, I get the email saying the site is not reachable but when I check it it's fine... I don't mind the false positive so much as the fact that it won't check again for another 300 seconds leaving a 5 minute window of what looks like an outage when it really isn't...

What I was hoping for is two possible ways to combat this

    1. when the trigger gets a fail then run it again and if it's fine then nothing and if it fails then transition to problem state.

    or

    2. When the web scenario fails to start check the sight every 10 or 30 seconds....

Either way I'm not sure how to tackle this. Suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

A trigger gets always evaluated when one of the items the trigger expression consists of gets a new value. Well, when time-based functions are used things are slightly different. So it can't be "re-run" on condition.
As for the second approach you might be interested in: ZBXNEXT-654.

Anyway. Take a look at the logs, possibly with DebugLevel set to 4 or 5, to identify what's going on.
See: Daemon configuration - Zabbix server

Beside of that you could think of increasing 'Retries' and/or step 'Timeout'.
    See: Web monitoring

Another idea could be to reduce the update interval and let the trigger check for subsequent failures.
