Housekeeper Rows ever increasing

Ok so if I understand correctly, the contents of your housekeeper table is specifically the things that housekeeper does not touch when it runs? I guess that also means the number of rows does not decrease when housekeeper runs?
I would have thought that the 2000/3000 events/problems would have been in there too as I was under the impression that the housekeeper-table was a TO-DO list for the housekeeper...

I don't know other than mentioned in the linked articles earlier. In my housekeeper table the current count is 74473, while about 16 hours ago it was 74466. Running housekeeper manually does not seem to change the count in housekeeper table.
