    Firewall - Opening ports

Running 4.4.4 of the Zabbix appliance, I need to open the following ports

    TCP 8014, 8016 and 8021
    UDP 67 and 69

    The documentation states
    4 Firewall
By default, only the ports listed in changes are open. To open additional ports just modify “/etc/iptables/rules.v4” or “/etc/iptables/rules.v6” files and reload firewall rules:

    service iptables-persistent reload"

It makes it sound so simple, but on opening /rules.v4 I have added INPUT entries (in what i believe is the correct format), but the reload of the firewall rule command results in:

    "unrecognized service"

Please can someone point me in the correct direction here?

    Thanks

For anyone else looking at this I have disabled the firewall entirely by entering the following:

    sudo ip6tables -F

    sudo iptables -F

It may be wrong but I was stuck on what to do next!

Rather than leaving your appliance with no firewall, can you see if this answer helps: https://askubuntu.com/questions/9413...istent-service

I suspect it's just a case of outdated documentation in the Zabbix docs.
