troubles when configurinf zabbix to monitor esxi vm´s

Hello, i using zabbix 4.4 and also vmware esxi 6.7

I would monitor VMs on my esxi, i found guide in zabbix documentation [ https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../vm_monitoring ] but i missing some informations so i want ask here.

I did all steps which are in docs, configure zabbix conf files and create a discovery rule (use template) and also set correct macros, what i missing in docs is how to setup host, i find some old video at youtube (but there was really old version of zabbix) and there is showed that i should create host and use AGENT interface with esxi ip and port 10050, as next step i will create template and in this template i can create discovery rule which will search for VMs and their datastores etc ... BUT I HAVE PROBLEM - after a setup it the discovery rule show not supported message : recieved response has no valid XML data

so my questions:

1.) do i really should use agent interfaces in host settings ? i dont have zabbix agent on my machine - i prefer agentless monitoring
2.) my esxi has URL: http://x.x.x.x/ui/#/login (x represent IP octet) but in zabbix documentation there is required URL: https://servername/sdk should i change something in my wmware ?
3.) i dont have hypervisor on this server i have only esxi -> the zabbix docs are talking only about hypervisor or i can use it also only with esxi ?

Hello, i did some progress.

I created VSPHERE host and link vm ware template to it, it discovered 3 cluster hosts and automatically link vmware hypervisor & guest templates, it create pretty much items etc .. i can already read some values but in many items i recieving error "not supported - Performance counter is not available."

Item example:

Datastore discovery: Average read latency of the datastore Backup_Datastore_2200v3_veeam
vmware.hv.datastore.read[{$URL},{HOST.HOST},Backup_Datastore_2200v3_veeam,l atency]
1m 90d 365d Simple check Datastore

I tried paste UUID instead of hostname but nothing changed, so i have all like in docs except : {$URL},{$UUID} - i have : {$URL},{HOST.HOST} , even i dont have UUID in hostname of host everything look same , but i still recieving this error.

do anyone have idea what happen wrong ?
