I'm testing zabbix now, and I tried the proxy functionnality. All installations were made using a ubuntu 14.04 server and using the packages as described in the zabbx 2.2 documentation.
I have my zabbix server on which I also installed the agent (zbx-srv). I installed a server with the agent (ubt-nde) and then set up to install a proxy (zbx-prx).
As long as I was set up with zbx-srv communicating directly with ubt-nde, everything was ok.
But since I installed an configured the proxy and set up ubt-nde to be monitored through zbx-prx, I have this nagging message telling me that "Zabbix agent on ubt-nde is unreachable for 5 minutes"
I tried adding the IP address of the proxy to the agent configuration file but the problem remains.
I'm welcoming any idea.
