Zabbix appliance won't work on ESXi 6.7

Deploying via ISO hangs mid install, due to no DHCP being available in our environment, not that it matter since eth0 is not working
Deploying via VMX does not work unless you run vmware convertor, then when it turns on, eth0 refuses to come up and network service does not work
Deploying via OVF spits out compatibility error
Tried to install vmware tools to server with no eth0/network service, eventually got it mounted, but now tar isn't installed?
    ESXi 6.7

I am a windows admin who works well with this product as soon as the UI is working

Screenshots below. Suggestions on how to get around all this?

    Probably review this: https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...working-device

Also, open-vm-tools is preferred if it's available directly from your Linux distro for your platform. See VMWare's own KB about it: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2073803
