Connection to Zabbix-MySql with PowerBi

Hello everybody,

I want to build a reporting-dashboard in PowerBi, which shows the status of our computers with the zabbix-client. A goal would be a geographic map, with dots for the individual clients-condition.


I was able to connect to the MySql "Zabbix"-database, but i cant figure out, where to look for the information i need. Because there are a bunch of tables, with ambiguous names.

"hostid" seems to be the identifier of the client, but where can i find the status reports to map with the hostid.


I would be very grateful, for any hint in the right direction,

Can PowerBI gather data via an authenticated web API? If it can, I think you would be better off pulling data from Zabbix via the API rather than accessing the database directly.
